Who is planning on coming to the 2007 ASIA meeting in May? It's going to be in my home town of Springfield, MO, and I'm sure looking forward to it.

Also, the thought just struck me that some of the Granadillo guitars might be ready by then. What a chance to see some of them in a group!!!!

Hoping to see you there!!!!!

I'm hoping to make it as well, but am unsure at this point. Over on the Guitarmaker forum (ASIA website - guitarmaker.org), we've got a good discussion going about guitar listening sessions, which I hope will give rise to the development of a great new listening/learning session at this Symposium. I encourage ASIA members here to go over there and check it out. The topic is "Listening Tests", started by Ervin Somogyi, and it's under the category of "Flat Top".

Arnt, hope you make it would like to meet you finally.

I'll be driving out from Oregon on a wild road trip. On to Ohio for my grand son's graduation after ASIA, then a custom knife show in Atlanta, back to Ohio and then back to Oregon.

Is the "OLF Special" still available for ASIA?

I'm pretty sure I'm going, just a couple hours away...

If you're going to join ASIA for this, wait till January unless you just want all of the magazines from this year. If you join now, your membership ends at the end of December.

Jon--Probably would make sense to wait until January but I wouldn't mind receiving all the 2006 issues also. Does anyone know if the OLF still has the special ASIA membership package available?

Most of you probably know that Branson is just a few miles from Springfield. Lots of great shows.

I'll be there. Along with the guitar festivities, I hope to play at least one round of golf with some hockey players in attendance!

Do they rent hockey sticks or do we need to have Bill Moll make up a batch of 'em?
Or John could probably whip some out on his CNC.

I don't think I can make it. It is just too far to travel with the amount of stuff I would need to set up. I am sure you will have a great time and I will be there in spirit

I’ve wanted to go for the last few years but haven’t been able to. I’m going for sure this time. I live in Kansas and vacation in the area. I looked at the ASIA web sight and didn’t see it, what days? How much? And all that stuff.

A Grizzly store! Now I can get that granite block and not have to pay the exhorbitant shipping charges. So what if I have to do a wheelie all the way back to Indiana

The Springfield Grizzly
I'll bet Bill had this in mind when ASIA designated Springfield for the event--That and the fact that he is located in Springfield.   Guess we could surprise him with about 50 of us showing up for a shop tour.    You're welcome, Bill, don't mention it.

That's great news Nelson! I am sure Bill and Denise would love a visit in the midst of their final preparations    Least we could do is make it pot luck

JJ I was talking to BobC a couple weeks ago and I gather you fellas are thinking of driving the zootmobile down together. I should be done early enough to play a round and help with setting up the Zoot display.

John Hall, I hope you reconsider -- I still owe you beer from the last ASIA.

Arnt -- it would be great if you can manage the time to come again. If Arnt makes it -- you are in for treat as he's a fine player and fellow.

Hey folks,

What are the dates for the Symposium?

Author:  npalen [ Mon Dec 04, 2006 3:18 am ]
Post subject:

In addition to the question regarding dates, I never did hear whether the OLF still has a membership deal with ASIA. I'm beginning to think this must be taboo subject???
